There is a huge variety of fish available to you, but consider looking to fish that are high in the Omega-3 oil.

This oil is beneficial to your heart in addition to other parts of your body and is frequently found in fish like tuna. Avoid fish like swordfish, which is heavy and has a concentration of mercury.

Instead, choose lean fishes and consider grilling, steaming, or baking fish instead of frying.

Aside from quick weight loss, a healthy diet can improve our mood, sleep, energy levels, and overall wellbeing. Here are a few steps to help you get started.

The first step towards improving the diet you are currently on is the elimination of saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol and sodium. This means that you should no longer consume any fried foods as well as certain healthy sounding foods (surprisingly!). Some foods which contain trans fat and a high number of sodium include crackers, cereals, and canned soups (to name a few). It is always wise to check the Nutrition Facts prior to purchasing any product. A healthy diet should consist of more fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean poultry and fat-free dairy. By consuming more fresh products we provide our bodies with all natural vitamins and minerals; therefore, we no longer have to rely upon synthetically created products. Aside from vitamins and minerals, raw fruit and veggies are also rich in fiber. This particular compound is very beneficial for those of us who are trying to lose weight.

Eating foods which are rich in fiber improves our metabolism and helps us feel full much longer.
